at the University of California, Berkeley

Organised by Harrison Chen, Chris Elliott, David Nadler, Kevin Wray and Alex Zorn.

Dimensional reductions of 6d superconformal field theories

The University of California, Berkeley will host a workshop devoted to the mathematical applications of 6d quantum field theory during the week of the 8th to the 12th of December 2014. The workshop is principally aimed at graduate students and young researchers working in the mathematics of quantum field theory and areas of mathematics to which it applies, such as geometric representation theory, geometric topology and mirror symmetry.

There will be minicourses given by

Lectures will be held in Evans Hall Room 1015.

Registration for the workshop is now closed. If you already filled in the registration form, we'll be in touch with you with more information over the coming days.

If you have any questions, please contact us at: 6d.qft.workshop@gmail.com.

The image is adapted from a diagram in Greg Moore's notes for his 2012 Felix Klein lectures at the Hausdorff Mathematical institute. See in particular pages 17 and 18 for descriptions of the objects in each box. The arrows represent dimensional reduction along a 2- (purple), 3- (blue), 4- (red) or 6- (green) manifold.
